OUR TOOLS
FOR THE EXTENDED PEDAGOGICAL COMMUNITY AND YOUNG PEOPLE (12-19 YEARS OLD)
OUR PROJECT
IN A NUTSHELL
The Boomering project is not another fact-checking or debunking initiative, but a toolbox that contains four different tools: StoryMaps, Talos, Pareidolia and a free training program.
During three years of work (2020-2023), our team has worked to give the extended community of adults playing a role in young people's lives (aged 12 to 19) resources to face situations of self-isolation and/or conflict due to exposure to false information.
In this community, we include youth workers, volunteers, teachers but also parents who feel ill-equipped to talk about digital tools and spaces, internet and false information spread with young people.
01
Raise awareness on the mechanisms and consequences of false information spread online on young people's mental health and citizen participation
02
Gain knowledge, skills and self-confidence in one's intellectual abilities and pass it on to young people as a defense mechanisms against false information
03
Give tools to (re)establish intergenerational dialogue in order to build collective and critical ways to receive information
